What is PDMS Certification Training?

The PDMS Certification Training on Jast Tech is an industry-aligned professional program designed to equip participants with end-to-end expertise in the Plant Design Management System (PDMS) — a leading software for 3D plant modeling and engineering design. This course blends theoretical foundations with extensive hands-on practice in equipment layout, piping design, structural modeling, drafting, and isometric production. Learners will understand how PDMS integrates with real-world engineering deliverables such as General Arrangement (GA) drawings, BOMs, and construction outputs used in oil & gas, petrochemical, power, and process industries. With project-oriented sessions and expert instructor guidance, trainees will develop practical skills in navigating the PDMS interface, creating intelligent 3D models, detecting and resolving clashes, and producing professional documentation. By the end of this program, participants are prepared to pursue PDMS certification and confidently apply their skills in engineering design roles. This course also incorporates portfolio development and case studies to showcase real-world problem solving.

Key Projects

Hands-on experience with real-world scenarios designed for mastery.

PDMS Plant Layout & Equipment Modeling System

This project focuses on developing a complete 3D plant layout using PDMS for a process industry facility. It covers modeling of major equipment such as pumps, vessels, heat exchangers, and tanks with accurate orientation and nozzle definitions. The project follows standard engineering inputs including layout drawings and equipment datasheets. Model hierarchy, attributes, and spatial coordination are maintained to reflect real-world plant design practices used by EPC organizations.

PDMS Piping Design, Isometric & BOM Generation System

This project focuses on creating a detailed piping model in PDMS based on P&IDs and line lists. It manages pipe routing, component placement, line specifications, and connectivity across equipment and structures. Automated isometric drawings, bill of materials, and spool details are generated to support fabrication and construction activities. The project reflects industry-standard piping workflows used in oil & gas and process plants.

PDMS Multi-Discipline Coordination & Clash Management System

This project focuses on integrating piping, equipment, and structural models within a single PDMS environment to perform clash detection and design coordination. It identifies physical interferences, analyzes clearance issues, and implements corrective actions to optimize layout efficiency. Coordination reports and revised models are produced to ensure constructability and compliance with design standards. The project represents real-world multidisciplinary coordination practices followed in large-scale plant engineering projects.
